The Neckar Valley cycle route passes castles and palaces, forests and steep vineyards, large cities and industrial ports. It leads from the source of the Neckar in Schwenninger Moos near Villingen-Schwenningen to the square city of Mannheim, where the Neckar joins the Rhine. The perhaps best known cycle route in Baden-Württemberg is also suitable for beginners, inexperienced cyclists and children. Two stages lead from and to Guttenberg Castle:
